Healthy body ..
As fast as technology, science and medicine have advanced in the last fifty years, our bodies are pretty much the same as they were back in the caveman days.
Our liver filters toxins and detoxifies chemicals, it cleans our blood, stores energy from our natural intake of sugars, produces an important digestive liquid called bile and is the largest solid organ in our body.
As you probably know, the heart is a pump which pumps blood through our body to all of our organs, muscles and other parts of our body. The blood carries oxygen
Our kidneys filter the waste out of the blood. Our blood
In the last fifty years, people have moved away from fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans and have fallen in love with canned, frozen, boxed and bagged food loaded with salt, sugar, chemicals, preservatives, colored dyes and hormones and antibiotics injected into animals processed for their meals. The chefs and kitchens have been replaced with scientists and laboratories.
Our bodies are being bombarded by additives and processed foods that our body just cannot handle, thus mutating cells into cancer, clogging up our arteries and destroying our liver and kidneys……
Well, science has created drugs that do not cure diseases or do they repair the vital organs in our bodies. These drugs are bandages for a few years and cause even worse harm to our bodies than they were intended to fix.
Even the health food industry has jumped into the game of manipulation and created so-called “superfoods” that they claim will prolong our life and allow us to live decades longer than normal. But of course, there is a catch to all of this – It cost a ton of money and their claims are bogus and they do nothing but prey on people’s hopes and vulnerability.
Meanwhile, our poor bodies and vital organs are working overtime to just keep us alive and in most cases fail miserably. Besides all of the “Frankenstein” food, technology has created industries that spew off harmful chemicals into the air. The animal agriculture industry dumps billions of tons a year of very harmful waste into our water, our land, and our air…… This pollution is quite new to Earth is also new to our bodies. You can imagine the damage it does to every organ in our body – not to mention the planet.
To add to the poor diet people eat, the poor air people breathe and the medications that are as much the norm to most people’s lives as watching CNN – add stress into the equation of self-suicide! Most people are stressed over their jobs, their relationships, not having a nice car like their next door neighbor and of course not being able to pay the bills that are as much a threat to their well-being as not having enough food to eat or water to drink……
WHEW! I just proofread my post here and I am scared! What can we do? Well, turning back the clock is only a good movie script, moving to the ends of the Earth sounds romantic as hell but after two weeks, at least for me, I would go completely nuts without Wolfe Blitzer, Rachel Maddow, and Netflix…. Not to mention Barney’s of New York, ANF and the Tahoe House that I go to every day to write these posts.
The first thing you can do to step off the wild ride that we are all on is to take a deep breath and eliminate everything and everyone that is causing you stress and anxiety…. And I do mean “everything and everyone!” Next thing to do is to downsize your lifestyle – If your job is too stressful and does not allow you time with your family and yourself, get a new job, move to a place that offers a better quality of life and is free of pollution….. I know this sounds easier than the realities of actually doing it but look at the alternative – Death!
Next thing to do to increase your chances of living a disease-free life is to eat disease-free food – Throw away everything in your kitchen and become best friends with your local organic farmers. Eat what is in season, organic and just harvested locally. Eat to live, not live to eat. Stop going to restaurants that load their food up with salt, sugar and other additives that your body turns into cancer cells.
Move your body – that is what your body is meant to do. Don’t beat yourself up at the gym, that only will add to stress and anxiety, the one thing you are trying to avoid. Incorporate into your lifestyle activities that you and your family enjoy doing together like walking, sports, cycling, hiking exploring the beach and the mountains…..
Life is meant to live happy and fulfilling – Peace, Doug
